According to the United States metal service center institute reported that in April 2017, US aluminum shipments fell by 0.4% to 115,600 tons compared with previous month, fell by 4.2% to 1.424 million tons compared with the same period of last year. Till end of April, US aluminum stock decreased by 1% to 345,000 tons, equivalent to about 3 months of supply. Canadian aluminum shipments dropped by 4.3% to 8708 tons in April compared with previous month, down 10.5% to 111,000 tons compared with the same period of last year. T In April of this year, the North American aluminum production was 326,000 tons, down by 3.5% compared with previous month, down by 0.8% compared with same period last year. In 2016, North American primary aluminum production was decreased by 10% to 4.027 million tons compared with the same period of last year.
