US’ CRC imports grow in Dec 2023
According to the preliminary Census Bureau data from the US Department of Commerce (USDOC), the US imported around 97,400 tons of cold-rolled flat-rolled products in December last year, growing by 14% compared to the previous month and falling by 18% from the same month a year earlier.

Among them, the imports from Canada accounted for the largest proportion, totaling around 40,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 7.4% and a year-on-year drop of 3.1%. Australia ranked second with around 16,000 tons, followed by South Korea’s 14,000 tons.

During the period, the import value totaled around US$101 million, up by 5.3% month on month and down by 21.3% year on year.
