Turkey's crude steel production drops in Apr
According to data from the Turkish Iron and Steel Producers' Association (TCUD), in April, Turkey's crude steel production dropped by 20.6% year on year to about 2.7 million tons. The output totaled 10.1 million tons in the first four months, a year-on-year decrease of 21.3%.

Turkey's steel exports in April were around 630,000 tons, falling by 55.2% from the same month a year ago. Meanwhile, the export value plunged by 59.9% year on year to US$566 million. At the same time, the steel imports were 1.7 million tons, increasing by 30.4% compared with the same month of last year. However, the import value decreased by 0.2% year on year to US$1.4 billion.
