SMM A00 aluminium ingot price surges by 8.37% Y-o-Y; Low carbon aluminium price gains RMB128/t
On Wednesday, April 10, China’s A00 aluminium ingot price has gained RMB 120 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,180 per tonne, with the spot contract price expected to be traded at a discount price of RMB 90 to RMB 50 per tonne. As per the SMM data, the domestic aluminium ingot prices have been on a growth trajectory since March 27. The SMM aluminium ingot price has skyrocketed by RMB 1,560 per tonne or 8.37 per cent Y-o-Y from RMB 18,620 per tonne recorded on April 10, 2023.
As of today, the prices have shown growth in all the provinces, with the highest in Wuxi, where it has hiked by RMB 140 per tonne to settle at RMB 20,200 per tonne, followed by an increase of RMB 130 per tonne in Gongyi to arrive at RMB 20,100 per tonne. In Foshan and Hangzhou, the aluminium ingot prices have ascended by RMB 120 per tonne to clock at RMB 20,220 per tonne and RMB 20,180 per tonne.
