SMM A00 aluminium ingot price collects RMB90/t W-o-W; Alumina price in Shanxi negates RMB20/t
The Shanghai Metals Market has been on the lower side today, with the A00 aluminium ingot price arriving at RMB 19,240 per tonne, a slight decrease of RMB 10 per tonne. If we consider the price recorded on March 13, there can be seen an escalation of RMB 90 per tonne, or 0.47 per cent, from the RMB 19,240 per tonne flashed that day.

The eight central provinces in China have all recorded dips in prices today, with the highest fall of RMB 40 per tonne marked in Chongqing, where the price stood at RMB 19,160 per tonne. This was followed by a RMB 30 per tonne slump in Linyi, with the aluminium price halting at RMB 19,190 per tonne. In Hangzhou, the aluminium price dampened by RMB 20 per tonne to close at RMB 19,230 per tonne.

Other than that, the aluminium prices in Wuxi, Shenyang and Tianjin have uniformly slumped by RMB 10 per tonne, officiating at RMB 19,230 per tonne, RMB 19,160 per tonne and RMB 19,190 per tonne. Lastly, in Gongyi and Foshan, the aluminium prices have shown no change, remaining stagnant at RMB 19,130 per tonne and RMB 19,200 per tonne, respectively.

China’s low carbon aluminium price has gained RMB 5 per tonne, settling at RMB 20,042 per tonne. 

The average alumina spot price in Shanxi has dropped by RMB 20 per tonne, parking at RMB 3,290 per tonne.

Other material prices maintained yesterday’s position, showcasing no change at all.
