According to Japan Stainless Steel Association report, Japanese stainless hot rolled steel production totaled about 1.39 million tons on first half of this year, raised about 2.2% compared with the same period of last year. Among them, the stainless structural steel production totaled about 115,153 tons, rose by about 9.7% compared with the same period of last year; that of stainless steel wire production totaled about 124,786 tons, rose by about 12.5% compared with the same period of last year; that of stainless steel tubes production totaled 123,106 tons, rose by about 3.3% compared with the same period of last year; stainless steel plates production totaled about 1.03 million tons, rose by about 0.2% compared with the same period of last year. On June, 2017, Japan’s stainless hot rolled steel production totaled about 208,565 tons, declined by 9.6% compared with the same period of last year, and declined by 8.2% compared with previous month.
