India intends to appeal EU CBAM carbon tariffs
The Ministry of Steel of India is planning to protest against the upcoming implementation of some CBAM laws by the European Union. The Ministry of Steel believes that some of the CBAM regulations violate the World Trade Organization (WTO) rules.

In addition, the CBAM regulations specifically target the steel industry, which is considered a heavily polluting industry, and the Indian steel export market may be affected by the rules. The Indian Ministry of Steel has met with the industry and relevant parties and determined that some CBAM regulations are not in line with WTO norms, so the Indian government will complain to the WTO in due course.
