Hydro plans to supply low-carbon emission aluminum to Brompton
Hydro plans to supply UK bicycle company Brompton with low-carbon-emission aluminum to reduce the weight and carbon footprint of folding bicycles.
Hydro offers aluminum with an industry-leading low CO2 footprint, covering emissions from mine to metal.
Meanwhile, Brompton incorporates low-carbon sources into all components of bicycles to achieve sustainable development. Both Hydro and Brompton commit to plans to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, laying out a blueprint for decarbonizing bicycle production.
Hydro and Brompton will start exploring the use of post-consumer recycled aluminum in wheel rims in the fourth quarter of 2023.
