China's Shougang releases Low-Carbon Action Plan to achieve carbon neutrality from 2050 to 2060
Beijing-based Shougang Group announced its Low-Carbon Action Plan at the Automotive Steel High-End Technology Forum and Low Carbon Planning Conference on July 6. The company introduced the current status of China's steel industry and Shougang's low-carbon development and proposed future low-carbon transformation and development.

Shougang has made it clear that it would strive to achieve carbon neutrality from 2050 to 2060.

In addition, the low-carbon R&D team of Shougang also held the unveiling ceremony for low-carbon products, exhibiting low-carbon products including DP980-GA, DC54D-GA, and IF Steel.

Through the comprehensive application of low-carbon technology, the carbon reduction of ultra-high-strength steel by 31.47%, the carbon reduction of low-carbon aluminum-killed steel by 52.83%, and the carbon reduction of IF Steel by 49.68% have been achieved, and the mass production of low-carbon automotive plate coating products with a carbon reduction of more than 30% has been realized as well.
