Australian Atlas Iron to sell manganese ore
Atlas Iron, a mining company and an iron ore explorer, producer and developer in Australia, announced on March 12th that it would start to sell manganese ore next month as part of its product diversification strategy.
Atlas Iron planned to purchase manganese lump from the Murchison mine held by Horseshoe Manganese Pty Ltd. The maximum annual purchase volume was 100,000 tons. In the future, Atlas Iron would transport manganese lump to export ports for processing through trains and ships. The manganese lump was expected to ship once every 4 months.
