Australia' Ardea Resources releases nickel resource at Goongarrie Hub project
The Goongarrie Hub project located near Kalgoorlie belongs to Ardea Resources has recently increased the biggest nickel-cobalt resource to 6.1 million tons from previously calculated 5.9 million tons.

The company management said cobalt resources are around 386,000 tons, higher than the estimated 380,000 tons as well.

The company is conducting the final work of the pre-feasibility study at Goongarrie Hub. This open-pit mining project will offer material for the production of annual 3 million tons of high-pressure acid leach (HPAL) and 500,000 tons of atmospheric leach (AL) circuit to produce mixed hydroxide and satisfy the increasing demand of the lithium-ion battery market.

They are also studying the magnesite-laden layer from which they found mineralized neutralizers. This agent can take the place of limestone used in the leaching circuit and needed to buy at a high cost.
