ArcelorMittal's Industeel supplies recycled and renewably produced Relia® plates to German customer
Industeel, an ArcelorMittal Downstream Solutions business division, is supplying XCarb® recycled and renewably produced Relia® plates to its German customer Universal Eisen und Stahl GmbH.

Relia® 400 is manufactured from recycled scrap in wind-powered electric arc furnaces, and the carbon footprint is around 60% lower compared to traditional steelmaking.

The thickness of these plates can reach up to 100 mm, and the product carbon footprint is 1.1 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent per ton of plate, certified by a third party.

Industrial decarbonization is not limited to the use of renewable energy in the manufacturing phase, and resource-saving processes and the use of low-carbon materials also support economic change.
