Aluminium Bahrain ramps up capacity at No. 6 line
Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the world's largest aluminum smelter ex-China, raised the annual production capacity at the No. 6 production line from 540,000 tons to 560,000 tons by increasing the current from 460 kA to 478 kA.
The expanded capacity at the No. 6 line has further boosted Alba's nameplate capacity. The No. 6 line was commissioned at the end of 2018 and the production gradually increased over 2019, making Alba's total nameplate production capacity exceed 1.6 million tons per year.
After being benefited by the launch of the No. 6 line on the company’s financial performance since 2019, Alba is now more eager to promote the No. 7 line.
